The home of De Martino wine in Australia

Pietro De Martino Pascualone came to Chile in 1934 to fulfill his dream of opening a winery and he found a perfect location in the Maipo Valley, just 31 miles from Santiago – the Chilean capital – and half way between the Pacific coast and the picturesque Andes Mountains.  It truly is a setting that was cut for wine-making.

The winery is located in the basin of the Maipo River and the extraordinary soil which permeates its water is perfect for vine growing.  De Martino wines owe their unique taste and texture to the soil.

The winery has evolved since its inception in 1934 and it now operates from over 300 vineyards, which produce some world famous brands such as Famalia.  This particular wine is De Martino’s special blend, as it works to create a wine to complements its own image; it selects only the best fruit from specifically identified parcels to achieve this.

De Martino Wines have outlets for distribution in four continents, but Chile will always be its home, and it will continue its insatiable search throughout the country to find ever richer areas for vine growth, so it can continue to produce quality wines for your pleasure.
