Italian Gancia Moscato D'Asti 2006 DOCG Description
The DOCG sweet Moscato d'Asti grapes are cultivated in the "Langhe" and "Monferrato" vine cultivating hills. Its origins are antique and deep rooted in tradition as far back as 1200. The very first Moscato wine was produced in Canelli, in the heart of the Moscato Hills with these excellent aromatic sweet white grapes.

Technical Characteristics
Appellation: Moscato d'Asti DOCG 2006
Grapes Used: 100% Moscato
Harvest: Mid/end August
Vinification: Soft pressing of hand picked grapes with the refrigeration of the must at -2°C to prevent the fermentation until requested. The must is fermented in large stainless steel temperature controlled vats so that the carbon dioxide is partially dissolved. When the alcohol content reaches 5,5% the fermentation is blocked by refrigeration so that the sugar content remains not less than 100 grams per litre. The wine is then filtered and bottled I cold sterile conditions.
Alcohol Content: 5.5% vol.
Characteristics: straw to pale golden yellow in colour, the perlage is extremely fine and persistent with a bouquet which is delicately floral and fruity with hints of mountain honey, sage and musk. The taste is fresh, pleasant and delicately sweet and aromatic.

Perfect for aperitifs, all types of celebrations and for dessert courses at the end of a meal.
